The Hungry wave T2W4

Hey everyone!
WALT: Use prior knowledge when making text-to-text connections.
This at school everyone in my class were doing reading create tasks. There were 3 create tasks. The 1st create task was making a copy of an google drawing, fill in each box but summarising it.
For the 2nd create task we had to design a poster about the natural disaster that were featured in the story that we were reading. We had to include a family meeting area, emergency kit if someone gets hurt, food supply if someone is starving, Civil defence in your area and anything else you could include.
So then for create task 3, we had to imagine that we were the reporter of the press. Fill in each box on the sheet, then getting it checked off and making an copy of a google drawing and filling it in.
There were 6 book choices. The 6 book choices are:
Astrolabe reef, Paekakariki flood, swallowed by the sea, The hungry wave, Christchurch Earthquake and Cyclone tokotoru.
The reading book that I chose for this week was the hungry wave. The hungry wave is about A girl named Ana being carried away by a Tsunami in her town and her big brother Niko rescuing her.

Here are the create tasks that I did:

T2 W2 Reading create task (The longest story)

 Hey everyone!

WALT: Evaluate ideas and information from a narrative text.

This week at school for reading we basically did the same things as last week but we got to choose another book. The book that I chose was The longest story. So for create task one we had to fill in each box and summarise it. For the 1st box we had to describe our book write the setting, problem and solution and also summarise it. The 2nd box we had to write 3 sentences about our complementary text and the challenge text and also summarise it.

My complementary text was about a spider called Anansi and a rich man called Nothing, the story was basically about when kids cry and you ask them why they are crying they might say it's nothing.

The challenge text was about a chief and a boy telling a story about a person called Mogobo who is never full and always hungry.

The longest story was about a girl called Abena and her father thinks that it’s time for Abena to get married, so her farther said that who ever tells the longest story get Abena, to be her future husband, so a man told a story about a bird that has 3 eggs that hatched and we hungry so the mother went to get worms and they were still hungry so she went to get worms again and they were still hungry, so then later he won Abena.

For Create task 2 we had to basically imagine that I was the editor of the story and rewrite the last paragraph and why I decided to change the ending like that. So then for create task 3 we had to pretend that we were the police officer and ask the main character 5 questions and also the answers.

I couldn't post create task 1 because on the instructions on create task 1 it said that we didn't need to blog and only copy and paste the description.

So here's create task 2 and 3!

I changed the last paragraph like that because The man won Abena for telling the longest story so I basically just did What might be able to happen if the ending was different and if I was the editor of the story.
I hope you enjoyed my work from this week!!
Good bye!!!

Reading create T2 W1

 Hi everyone!
WALT: Evaluate ideas and information in a narrative text.
This week at school we've been doing our reading create task. For reading this weeks create task was writing down what our story is about, different characters, and what problem happened to the main character and summarise it. Then write 3 sentences about the complementary text and the challenge text. That was create task 1. For create task 2 we had to Rewrite the last paragraph and explain why I changed it like that. Then for task 3 we had to pretend we were the police and interview the main character and also write down 5 questions and the answer. The book I chose this week was the weird zone. The weird zone is basically about a dad who's keeps acting weird, and has 2 kids. Sorry but I couldn't put task 1 on my blog because on the instructions it said only copy paste a bit of the description, But couldn't blog it.
Here's what I've done this week:

I decided to change the last paragraph like this because dad doesn't know how to put up a tent so I basically typed down what could happen if dad didn't know how to set up a tent.

I hope you enjoyed my create tasks!!
Good bye!!!
